Green Mill Jazz Club in Chicago's colorful and historic Uptown neighborhood. THE UPTOWN WRITER'S SPACE offers 1,200 square feet of light-filled space with panoramic views of vintage Chicago buildings.
The main writing room features handcrafted wooden cubicles, that provide privacy within the open loft-like environment, as well as library tables and lounge seating made especially for the space by Chicago furniture designer John Lindsay.
With wireless high speed internet access and a laser printer available to members, there is a break room/coffee bar where writers can hang out, unwind and share ideas over lunch or a cup of joe, providing the kind of interaction that usually eludes those who pursue the solitary business of facing a blank page.
